Mark Christopher Auto Center and Colonies Partners are proud to announce that they are supporting the donation of a 2016 Chevrolet Spark. (click here for details on applying for car.) The car will be given to an underprivileged family chosen by organizers as part of the Colonies Holiday Miracles event in December at the Colonies Crossroads Shopping Center.

To be considered by organizers, participants must print and fill out the form that can be found at the Colonies Holiday Miracles website at www.coloniesholidaymiracles.org. The forms must be put in an envelope and dropped off at boxes at designated sites (see below) by noon on Dec. 7, 2016.  Participants must verify a demonstrable financial need and live in the Inland Empire to be considered.

With an EPA-estimated 38 MPG highway, the 2016 Chevrolet Spark is a fuel-efficient car that can navigate everything from the narrowest streets to largest business ventures. The high mileage doesn’t sacrifice personal space, with 27.2 cu. ft. of cargo space along with added legroom.

“As long time Inland Empire business owners and residents, we believe in giving back to the community,” said Chris Leggio, President of Mark Christopher Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC and Mountain View Chevrolet. “Colonies Holiday Miracles is one of our favorite events because it creates a special holiday memory for children most in need.”

The Colonies Holiday Miracles is an annual event for children selected based on need and referred by Hope Through Housing, House of Ruth, OPARC, Children’s Fund, Children’s Hope, House of Ruth, Upland Housing Authority, Pacific Lifeline, and Foothill Family Shelter. Since 2007, Holiday Miracles has served nearly 2,000 underprivileged children and their families.

The day includes a shopping spree at Dicks, Kohl’s and Target with all families provided with a turkey dinner and all of the fixings. Local service organizations, High School Key Clubs and members of the Upland police and fire departments as well other safety personnel from the region volunteer at the event, making Miracles the largest day of giving of its kind in the region.

“The Leggio family has always supported Colonies Holiday Miracles and participating in this donation will be a life-altering gift,” said Jeff Burum, co-managing partner of Colonies Partners, which owns the shopping center and co-sponsors the event. “This event began to help financially struggling families and make a difference, and this donation is the perfect example of that ideal.”

Major sponsors this year include Colonies Partners, Pacific Development Group, Mountain View Chevrolet in Upland, Kohl’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Target, Albertsons and Home Depot.
